These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of BaseHalf. By using BaseHalf, you agree to these Terms.
1. Using BaseHalf
BaseHalf is a compound thinking workspace for turning AI work into reusable Maps, Point pages, Blocks, References, and connected context.
You may use BaseHalf only if you can form a binding agreement and comply with these Terms and applicable laws.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for your account and for activity that occurs through it.
- Provide accurate account information.
- Keep your login credentials secure.
- Do not share, sell, or transfer your account without permission.
- Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you create, import, upload, or store in BaseHalf, including Maps, Points, Blocks, files, prompts, and outputs.
You grant BaseHalf a limited license to host, store, process, transmit, display, reproduce, and modify your content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.
You are responsible for making sure you have the rights needed to upload or process content through BaseHalf.
4. AI Output
BaseHalf uses AI systems to help generate, revise, summarize, organize, and connect content. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your use case.
You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it. BaseHalf is not a substitute for legal, medical, financial, safety, or other professional advice.
5. Reusable Context
BaseHalf lets you turn work into smaller pieces of context that can be reused independently, combined freely, and carried into future questions.
You are responsible for deciding which context to reuse, which files or notes to include, and whether generated output is appropriate for your project.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use BaseHalf for illegal, harmful, abusive, or unauthorized purposes
- upload content you do not have the right to use
- violate intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights
- attempt to bypass rate limits, payment systems, access controls, or security features
- probe, scan, or attack BaseHalf systems or third-party systems
- use automation to abuse free credits, trials, or capacity limits
- submit malware, credentials, secrets you are not authorized to use, or content intended to compromise systems
- use BaseHalf to generate or distribute content that violates law or these Terms
7. Payments and Credits
BaseHalf may offer paid plans, credits, usage-based features, or other paid services.
- Prices, credit amounts, and included features may change over time.
- Payments are processed by third-party payment processors such as Stripe.
- Credits are not money, have no cash value, and are not transferable.
- Refunds are provided only where required by law or expressly stated by BaseHalf.
- We may suspend paid features if payment fails, is reversed, or appears fraudulent.
8. Third-Party Services
BaseHalf may depend on third-party infrastructure, authentication, payment, AI, and operational providers. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control, but we use them to provide the product.
9. Product Changes and Availability
BaseHalf is evolving. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features. We try to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee that BaseHalf will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
10. Intellectual Property
BaseHalf, including its software, interface, branding, documentation, and original product materials, is owned by BaseHalf or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not give you ownership of BaseHalf itself. They give you permission to use the service according to these Terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using BaseHalf at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service or other users, fail to pay amounts owed, or if required by law.
After termination, some information may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimers
BaseHalf is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BaseHalf will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill.
Our total liability for any claim related to BaseHalf will not exceed the amount you paid to BaseHalf for the service giving rise to the claim during the three months before the claim arose, or one hundred US dollars if you have not paid anything.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those places, these limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.
14. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold BaseHalf harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your content, your use of BaseHalf, or your violation of these Terms.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as BaseHalf changes. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and provide additional notice when appropriate. Continued use of BaseHalf after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
